Since 2007, the New Caledonia Initiative Network is the first network of associations to finance business start-ups and takeovers. Initiative NC is an association which mission is to help the creation, the takeover and the development of companies by granting a loan of honor and via a follow-up and a personalized accompaniment. The New Caledonia Initiative Network is an association organized in offices. It is represented by its president, Dominique Laulom, and surrounded by a team of 5 employees including the director, Viviane Lafay. To this day, the local association of the France Initiative network has been able to support more than 800 businesses, participating in the creation of 1,600 jobs thanks to its 60 volunteers.
During a one-week visit, the Initiative Nouvelle-Calédonie Network welcomed Mr. Guillaume PEPY, President of Initiative France since 2020. During his stay, Guillaume Pepy had many meetings and exchanges with entrepreneurs, business community representatives and elected officials.
Partner since the beginning, the BCI was able to exchange with Guillaume PEPY on the economic situation of New Caledonia and the promising areas for the years to come (social and solidarity economy, circular economy, energy transition, digital, etc.). The BCI accompanies Initiative Nouvelle-Calédonie with the objective of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, two values that are important to the BCI.
