On December 17, 2024, a magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Vanuatu. Many victims and significant damage are to be lamented, particularly in Port Vila, the country’s capital. BRED Banque Populaire wishes to express all its support to its subsidiary BRED Bank Vanuatu and its employees, fortunately all safe and sound. It is still too early to precisely quantify the material damage but the bank’s buildings have not been significantly affected.
