Régis Barriac appointed Head of International Operations at BRED Banque Populaire

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Régis Barriac as Head of International Operations with effect from 24 July 2024. He joins the Executive Committee and reports to the Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Paul Julia.

Régis Barriac is responsible for developing BRED Banque Populaire’s international activities, which include retail banking in South-East Asia, the South Pacific and the Horn of Africa, international financing and banking advisory services, correspondent banking and trade finance in Switzerland.

Aged 54, Régis Barriac began his career in 1994 at CCF as a corporate client officer and continued it at HSBC, where he held several management positions in the corporate market before becoming international director in 2012.

In 2019, he joined BRED Banque Populaire as director of coverage for industrial and service companies in the corporate banking division.

In 2020, he was appointed Managing Director of BCIMR, BRED Banque Populaire’s subsidiary in Djibouti.
