BRED Bank (Fiji) officially opened its newly renovated MHCC Branch to customers today. The Bank has invested close to 1 million Fijian dollars to renovate this branch which is the largest retail flagship in its Fiji network.
You will notice we have made a lot of changes in the physical set up. We believe reorganization was necessary to align the physical structure of the branch to our customer service delivery strategy said CEO, Thierry CHARRAS-GILLOT during the opening.
“BRED Bank (Fiji) implemented the ‘Banking without distance’ strategy in 2019. Banking without distance means that the bank doesn’t keep its customers at a distance. In the way of banking today, globally, we have seen a shift of delivering banking services through technology. While this approach is convenient to some extent, it also loses the personal touch, or the human touch, of the customer with the bank. Banking without distance is therefore a synergy of both, human touch, with customers in our renovated branches, and integrating the digital revolution with BRED Fiji Connect, our internet banking app, which is certainly one of the best app on the market. Thus our slogan, a human and digital bank, because we want to bring our customers the best of both worlds.” Mr. CHARRAS-GILLOT further added.
“You will notice that all BRED Bank (Fiji) branches now have closed Personal Banker offices, this means all our customers will be managed by dedicated Personal Bankers. Financial advisory is key part of this strategy where we have invested a lot in training our staff, and equipped them with the right tools to guide customers with their financial decisions.” said Mr. CHARRAS-GILLOT.
“We have invested over 2 million Fijian dollars in renovating all our branches, which is a testament of our confidence in the Fijian economy. During this challenging times presented by Covid-19, it’s a good example of how investment can support the employment of workers and the economy.
