BRED Bank Solomon, the BRED Groups youngest subsidiary has just turned 3 years old. The bank was opened by the then Solomon Islands Prime Minister, Mr Rick Houenipela on 23 June 2018.
BRED Bank Solomon has proven to be a very successful bank, having already in its short life recorded many milestones. Some of the major ones being :

- On 6 January 2021, opening its second branch, in the heart of the Central Business District of Honiara (Capital)
- Being 2nd in Lending Market Share, above banks such as Australian and New Zealand Banking group who has been operating in Solomon Island for over 50 years, and 3rd for deposits
- Opening over 5000 customer accounts, including accounts for the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands and the Governor of Central Bank of Solomon Islands

- Having a multinational Executive team, with the team being a mixture of French, Australian, Fijian , Ni-Vanuatu , Dutch , Sri Lankan and Solomon Islanders
BRED Bank Solomon is proud to also announce that, it is the first ever commercial bank in the Solomon Islands that has a CEO who is a Solomon Islands citizen. Owen Thomson, our CEO who started the BRED Bank Solomon from scratch 5 years ago when it received its banking license , obtained his Solomon Islands citizenship in April 2021.
