Encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit of the new generation

The BCI was a proud supporter of the Rendez-Vous des Petits Entrepreneurs event for young entrepreneurs held on Sunday 15 November 2020 by New Caledonia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and by the Government of New Caledonia.

This event provided an opportunity for more than 200 young entrepreneurs aged 6 to 17 to show off their ideas and talent, creating a “small business” for just one day. This inaugural edition was held in Nouméa, Bourail, Koné, Poindimié and Lifou, ensuring that as many children as possible could take part.

Visitors were impressed by the quality of the products and services on offer, and by the entrepreneurial spirit of the youngest participants – who, for their part, were proud to have been showcased, pulling out all the creative stops and investing themselves fully in this project. This first edition of the event proved to be a big success, proving that the new generation and their families have a real entrepreneurial drive cultivated by the pioneering spirit that is so dear to New Caledonians… and to the BCI
