“We believe, the number of Indigenous and Rotuman businesses are less than 800 out of a total of | 6,400 companies in Fiji. Our goal is to increase the number as well as the quality of Indigenous and Rotuman businesses. This can be achieved by nurturing, integration of enabling policies and framework that can accelerate communal commercial participation. This will result in expansion of the economic cake,” Mr. Taoi further added.
In closing remarks, Mr. Taoi said “The $ 10,000 sponsorship money will go a long way to achieving a great success in the Workshop. FIBC looks forward to the beginning of a bright partnership with BRED Bank. Mr. CHARRAS-GILLOT thanked the FICB and FHL for reviving the business council and providing support towards ensuring sustainability of Indigenous entrepreneurship.
