Jean-Paul Julia has started a tour of BRED Banque Populaire’s subsidiaries in the Pacific, beginning with BRED Bank Solomon.

The Solomon Islands have a population of approximately 700,000 and benefit from international investments, particularly from Australia and China. BRED Bank Solomon is celebrating its 6th anniversary with a positive balance sheet. In 2023, its GDP grew by 12% year-on-year, driven by the growth of NII (+21.1%).
BRED Bank Solomon has two branches with a total workforce of 92 employees and 13 ATMs in a region where cash transactions are predominant.

Jean-Paul Julia, accompanied by Régis Barriac, International Director of BRED Banque Populaire, met with the teams and clients of BRED Bank Solomon, introduced by Owen Thomson, CEO of BRED Bank Solomon.
Jean-Paul Julia and Régis Barriac also had a discussion with Luke Fauro, Governor of the Central Bank of the Solomon Islands.
