We are pleased to announce that Pierre Tastet joins BRED Banque Populaire as the CEO of BRED Bank Fiji with effect from 05 December 2024. He reports to Régis Barriac, Head of International Operations.
Pierre Tastet succeeds Thierry Charras-Gillot, who continues his career at BRED Banque Populaire on the acquisition project of Société Générale Madagasikara.
Pierre Tastet’s mission is to continue the momentum of BRED Bank Fiji.
Pierre Tastet began his career at Banque Populaire du Sud-Ouest, which later became Banque Populaire Aquitaine Centre Atlantique (BPACA). He held various positions there from 1989 to 2008, starting as a Corporate Account Manager and eventually becoming the Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until 2005, before becoming the Director of Corporate and Agricultural Operations.
In 2008, he was appointed CEO of Banque Pelletier, a subsidiary of BPACA, where he oversaw the integration with BPACA and managed merger projects until 2011. He continued his career as Deputy CEO of Crédit Commercial du Sud-Ouest (CCSO), where he completed the integration of the two banks’ networks until 2013.
Pierre Tastet then joined Banque Populaire Occitane as Deputy CEO, where he led the Client and Management division until 2019.
In 2019, he became Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer at Banque Populaire Rives de Paris, where he was COO until 2022, before focusing on Specialized Services in 2023.“We are delighted to welcome Pierre to lead BRED Bank Fiji.
